Yep, Cupid did work his magic. Darn little thing!
As we reach closer to the end of Unmasking – Book 2 of Tame Series, we come to realize that Phoebe and Federick are far from perfect. While they are different, they have some things in common.
Being a spy and an assassin, Phoebe learned from a young age how to fake emotions to get the mission done. But with training ten times more difficult than the rest of the agents, school, missions and being primed as the heir of the agency, Phoebe never got to experience real emotions. Not to mention that when she was a teenager her life took an unexpected turn which led to her only experiencing negative emotions like hatred, pain, vengeance and sadness.
Now Phoebe is experiencing something utterly new to her. No wonder she is confused and sometimes feels like an alien in her own body. In this sense, we can see that Federick is challenging Phoebe to venture into something new and scary. As you might have noticed from The Spy Within and Unmasking, Phoebe would rather deal with a dangerous situation than with her emotions.
